ROZIC -- read once and referred to the Committee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development AN ACT in relation to requiring the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation to review the policies of the department of parks and recreation of the city of New York regarding trees and tree maintenance The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other rule, regulation or policy to the 2 contrary, the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation 3 shall review and provide oversight to the department of parks and recre- 4 ation of the city of New York in relation to city-owned trees, tree 5 maintenance, care and cultivation of such trees, liability in case of 6 personal or property injury by such trees, and any other matters the 7 office of parks, recreation and historic preservation deems necessary. 8 § 2.
