PRETLOW -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Consumer Affairs and Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to requiring busi- nesses that purchase silver, gold and platinum to display current silver, gold and platinum prices The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section 2 391-w to read as follows: 3 § 391-w. Silver, gold and platinum prices displayed. Any business that 4 deals in the purchase of silver, gold and platinum for the purpose of 5 resale, melting or refining shall display a sign with the current prices 6 listed for silver, gold and platinum in a prominent or conspicuous 7 location within the business establishment. 8 § 2.
