PAULIN, COLTON, OTIS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to coverage for services provided by school-based health centers for medical assist- ance recipients; and to amend part JJ of chapter 57 of the laws of 2021 amending the social services law relating to managed care programs, in relation to the effectiveness thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (d-3) of subdivision 3 of section 364-j of the 2 social services law, as added by section 1 of part JJ of chapter 57 of 3 the laws of 2021, is amended to read as follows: 4 (d-3) Services provided in school-based health centers shall not be 5 provided to medical assistance recipients through managed care programs 6 established pursuant to this section [until at least April first, two 7 thousand twenty-three,] and shall continue to be provided outside of 8 managed care programs. 9 § 2. Section 2 of part JJ of chapter 57 of the laws of 2021 amending 10 the social services law relating to managed care programs, is amended to 11 read as follows: 12 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately [and shall expire April 1, 13 2023, when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed 14 repealed]; provided [further,] that the amendments to section 364-j of 15 the social services law made by section one of this act shall not affect 16 the repeal of such section and shall be deemed repealed therewith. 17 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that 18 the amendments to section 364-j of the social services law made by this 19 act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed 20 repealed therewith.
