  STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 9476  IN ASSEMBLY March 14, 2024 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. GLICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to prohibiting alcohol sales to persons inside of motor vehicles The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 102 of the alcoholic beverage control law is 2 amended by adding a new subdivision 9 to read as follows: 3 9. No alcoholic beverage retail licensee shall sell any alcoholic 4 beverage to a person who is inside of a motor vehicle, as such term is 5 defined in section one hundred twenty-five of the vehicle and traffic 6 law, unless specifically authorized under this chapter to sell alcoholic 7 beverages for take-out. 8 § 2.
