Senate Resolution No. 1101 BY: Senator MARTINS COMMENDING Kim & Jeff Lichtenstein upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition by Residents Forward at their Caring For Port Washington Gala on June 2, 2023 WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to individuals of high purpose and worthy accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the citizens of the State of New York; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Kim & Jeff Lichtenstein upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition by Residents Forward at their Caring For Port Washington Gala on Friday, June 2, 2023; and WHEREAS, Kim & Jeff Lichtenstein are the proud parents of four daughters; their cherished family resides in Sands Point, New York; and WHEREAS, Dedicated to the advancement of her community, Kim Lichtenstein is an active volunteer and community organizer, most recently helping with the launch of Commune on Main Street; she is also working with Residents Forward to launch Phase Two of Let's Walk Port Washington; and WHEREAS, A true, experienced, asset to Port Washington and the greater area, Jeff Lichtenstein was a panelist at the Residents Forward Youth Climate Summit in the Food & Waste Workshop; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Kim & Jeff Lichtenstein upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition by Residents Forward at their Caring For Port Washington Gala; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Kim & Jeff Lichtenstein.
