SKOUFIS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- recom- mitted to the Committee on Transportation in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- committee discharged and said bill committed to the Committee on Rules -- ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of the state highway system in the town of Wallkill as the "Private First Class Richard Cleveland Dunn Memorial Highway" The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-p to 2 read as follows: 3 § 344-p. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the 4 "Private First Class Richard Cleveland Dunn Memorial Highway". All that 5 portion of the state highway system constituting state route 17M in the 6 town of Wallkill shall be designated and known as the "Private First 7 Class Richard Cleveland Dunn Memorial Highway". 8 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal- 9 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system 10 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid 11 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig- 12 nation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of 13 ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not be 14 changed as a result of this act. 15 § 3.
