Requires, in cities having a population of one million or more, supportive housing be disbursed throughout the boroughs of such city in proportion to the borough population.
Establishes a temporary commission to examine and review the degree and effect of segregation in primary and secondary schools and any correlation with school funding and the long-term impact of inadequate education on segregated students.
Enacts "Imette's Law"; mandates that every owner of a cabaret establishment, but which is not a restaurant, shall install security cameras at every entrance and exit of such establishment.
Establishes the "New York City Housing Authority Facilities Modernization Act" which shall assist with the installation, demolition, construction, reconstruction, excavation, rehabilitation, renovation, and repair of projects contracted out by the New York City Housing Authority (Part A); relates to reporting on lead-based paint poisoning prevention (Part B).
Enacts the "social media monitoring safety act" to provide data analytic resources and funding to every school district to facilitate the monitoring of social media activities to provide early-detection information of possible threats to a student's health and the safety of the school; makes an appropriation therefor.
Requires the budget submitted by the governor to include an itemization, by each individual school district, of appropriations for the support of school districts.
Removes constitutional provision that the lieutenant-governor shall act as governor when the governor is absent from the state; provides likewise for the case in which the lieutenant-governor is absent from the state and the case in which the temporary president of the senate is absent from the state.
Relates to term limits for the office of governor; term limits for the offices of comptroller and attorney-general; limits the terms of office as a member of the legislature any person may serve.
