Establishes the New York state cryptocurrency and blockchain study task force to provide the governor and the legislature with information on the effects of the widespread use of cryptocurrencies and other forms of digital currencies and their ancillary systems, including but not limited to blockchain technology, in the state.
Provides that assessed values of cooperative units and condominiums shall not increase by more than 3% in the two years following resolution of tax certiorari proceedings.
Relates to assault in the third degree by a person against an operator, driver or passenger on a bus, taxicab, aerial tramway, subway or other motor vehicle.
Requires the commissioner of taxation and finance to include space on the personal income tax return to enable a taxpayer to make a contribution to the cure childhood cancer research fund.
Allows severely disabled individuals to apply for renewal of a parking permit for a handicapped person without providing an updated certification or additional medical documents.
Requires notice to unemployment applicants of the supplemental nutrition assistance program and the special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children (WIC).
Directs the commissioner of housing and community renewal, in consultation with the director of the budget and the commissioner of taxation and finance, to conduct a study to examine the efficacy of the creation of a statewide affordable housing agency whose sole mission is to directly build affordable housing utilizing state funds and employing residents of the state to accomplish such construction of affordable housing.
Requires the New York City Housing Authority to create policies regarding administrative procedures that conform with Title 42 Sections 13661-13662 of the United States Code and any relevant guidance developed by the Office of Public and Indian Housing of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development with respect to proceedings involving decisions of the Authority.
