Establishes the small business employees loan forgiveness incentive program for applicants who agree to engage in employment at a small business registered to do business in New York state; establishes the eligibility for such awards; establishes the amount and duration of such awards.
Prohibits publicly traded pharmacies with twenty or more stores in this state from establishing or enforcing quotas for duties performed by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, including evaluating or measuring the number of prescriptions filled, services rendered, programs offered and revenue obtained.
Requires the commissioner of motor vehicles to promulgate rules and regulations to require that every school bus be equipped with a stop-arm on each side of the bus regardless of seating capacity; prohibits the operation of a school bus on public highways without a functioning stop-arm on each side of such bus.
Imposes a duty on a vehicular assailant to support a surviving child of a parent or guardian killed by such person; defines income; provides for a determination of support.
Permits the admissibility of testimony that a person reported acts of discrimination to another person in a civil trial under the human rights law, including the contents of such report.
Permits a claimant to submit an order determining compensation from the workers' compensation board as proof of disability for purposes of real property tax exemptions.
Requires proof of at least six hours of driving experience under a certified instructor prior to issuance of licenses for certain drivers and motorcyclists.
Directs the commissioner of the department of labor, in consultation with the commissioners of the office of temporary and disability assistance, the department of health, the office of children and family services, and the department of taxation and finance to conduct a study on income eligibility limits for public benefits to assist the poor and the impact that rising wages has or will have on the eligibility of the working poor to receive such benefits.
Increases the cap on earnings for eligible individuals with no dependents receiving tuition assistance program awards from ten thousand to thirty thousand dollars.
