Provides for the regulation of motorized scooters including registration, safety and equipment, prohibitions on unsafe operation and insurance requirements.
Relates to providing access to the workers' compensation system, timely and meaningful wage replacement benefits, and medical treatment; relates to improving efficiency of the system and cost savings.
Allows victim impact statements in New York state be video recorded; requires that the members of the parole board and all presiding commissioners for such hearing review all relevant victim impact statements prior to the conduct of a parole hearing and to sign a written attestation confirming that they have done so.
Creates a school budget tax cap exemption for expenditures resulting from settlements or jury awards for civil actions brought against school districts under the child victims act.
Establishes the crime of assault on sports officials and harassment of a sports official; makes harassment of a sports official a violation; requires the state education department to establish an information campaign to be distributed to all youth and school sports programs requiring such programs to disseminate information to parents and other spectators of such programs on the protections afforded sports officials.
Extends the authorization granted to the county of Franklin to impose an additional one percent of sales and compensating use taxes until November 30th, 2027.
Authorizes physicians and pharmacists to enter into collaborative practice medication adherence protocols for their patients; makes permanent certain provisions relating to authorizing pharmacists to perform with physicians in certain settings.
Prohibits school districts from authorizing a currently enrolled public school student to be home schooled when the superintendent of the school district is notified of a pending child abuse or neglect investigation or if either custodial parent or a person instructing the child has been convicted of domestic violence, child abuse, or neglect.
Relates to the salaries of certain teachers and aides employed by boards of cooperative educational services; puts limits on certain administrative and clerical expenses.
