Implements automatic enrollment for the tax abatement program for rent-controlled and rent-regulated property occupied by senior citizens; provides for a check box for a taxpayer to opt-out of data sharing and automatic enrollment on their tax return.
Establishes the New York small business relief fund consisting of monetary penalties imposed by the state liquor authority to provide grants to small businesses which have suffered economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eliminates the ability of judicial candidates for office who are enrolled in a particular party to automatically be allowed to run as a candidate in another party's primary election.
Relates to the period of limitation for the prosecution of sex offenses committed against children; such actions may be commenced within 15 years after such child has reached the age of 18.
Provides that limited permits to practice medicine may be renewed biennially; expands the types of facilities where permitees may practice; authorizes permits to be renewed at the discretion of the department of education; provides that such department shall not deny a limited permit based solely on the previous number of authorizations of such permits issued to the applicant.
Imposes certain restrictions on catalytic converters; requires all vehicle catalytic converters to be indelibly marked or engraved with a readily observable unique serial number; provides a reduction in premium charges for certain motor vehicle liability, comprehensive and collision insurance rates with respect to automobiles equipped with a catalytic converter which contains such unique marking or engraving.
Prohibits a landlord, lessor, sub-lessor, rental broker, real estate agent, or apartment rental clearinghouse from requesting from a potential lessee or a consumer reporting agency a consumer report for the purposes of evaluating a rental application; provides penalties for violations.
