Provides that the commissioner of education may promulgate rules and regulations for a health education curriculum to include menstrual disorders, including but not limited to, endometriosis.
Provides for the enrollment of a surviving spouse, a surviving domestic partner, a dependent child or children, or any other person entitled to a death benefit in direct deposit for compensation payments.
Enacts the "genetic privacy and protection act" to require the mandatory deletion of genetic data upon financial distress or bankruptcy; prohibits the sale, transfer, or continued use of genetic data without explicit and renewed consent from the original consumer; provides for attorney general enforcement.
Requires the developmental disabilities advisory council to submit an annual report to the governor, temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly on the activities of the council, and to make such report public.
Relates to continuing education requirements for landscape architects; provides that adjustments to such requirements may be granted for health reasons, active duty, or other good cause; limits the number of credit hours that may carry over to the next registration period.
Requires health insurance policies include coverage for anesthesia for the entire duration of a procedure for which a licensed medical practitioner has issued an order for such anesthesia.
Establishes the process for a massage therapy establishment to be duly licensed; provides for the application process; sets standards for massage therapy establishments; makes related provisions.
Makes all offenses qualifying offenses for bail where the principal is a non-citizen; requires courts remand without bail when any principal charged with an offense has an outstanding United States immigration and customs enforcement detainer; includes federal laws, rules, and regulations in the definition of offense; allows police officers to detain certain non-citizens; reinstates the maximum sentence for misdemeanors as three hundred sixty-five days.
Requires the preparation and dissemination of written materials regarding child access prevention and the safe storage of firearms; establishes such information shall be provided to students and/or persons in a parental relationship to such students at the beginning of each semester or quarter of the regular school year beginning on and after July 1, 2026.
Includes not-for-profit corporations and public television or radio corporations in the definition of business entity; allows such entities to claim the newspaper and broadcast media jobs tax credit.
Provides for a real property tax exemption for certain residential properties with accessory dwelling units occupied by households in need in Suffolk county when the owner of the property resides in the primary building on the property and certain other conditions are met pertaining to the percentage of the total assessment of the property, the income of the tenants of the accessory dwelling unit or units, and the amount of the rent for the accessory dwelling unit.
Authorizes Liliana Fernandez-Clemente, the widow of Daniel Clemente, to file a new service retirement application and option election form with the New York state and local employees' retirement system on behalf of such deceased member.
