SAYEGH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to designating certain state university campuses as early voting sites and polling sites <B><U>The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-</U></B> <B><U>bly, do enact as follows:</U></B> 1 Section 1. Section 4-104 of the election law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 5-b to read as follows: 3 <B><U>5-b. Whenever a campus which is operated by the state university of</U></B> 4 <B><U>New York and has an enrollment of at least sixteen thousand students and</U></B> 5 <B><U>an on campus dormitory, a polling place designated for registrants on</U></B> 6 <B><U>such campus shall be at a location approved by such college or universi-</U></B> 7 <B><U>ty.</U></B> 8 § 2. The election law is amended by adding a new section 8-606 to read 9 as follows: 10 <B><U>§ 8-606. Early voting on state university campuses. Each campus which</U></B> 11 <B><U>is operated by the state university of New York and which has an enroll-</U></B> 12 <B><U>ment of at least sixteen thousand students and an on campus dormitory</U></B> 13 <B><U>shall have an early voting site on such campus.</U></B> 14 § 3.
