WALSH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the town law, in relation to dissolution of the Jenkins Park District by the town of Ballston, in the county of Saratoga The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 202-c of the town law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 2-h to read as follows: 3 2-h. Notwithstanding any other provision of general, special or local 4 law, rule or regulation to the contrary, whenever the town board of the 5 town of Ballston, Saratoga county, shall determine it to be in the 6 public interest, said town board may, upon its own motion and without 7 petition, but after a public hearing held in the manner and upon the 8 notice specified in subdivision one of this section, dissolve and 9 discontinue the Jenkins Park District, otherwise known as Park District 10 No. 1, provided that there be no indebtedness, outstanding and unpaid, 11 incurred to accomplish any of the purposes of such district. 12 § 2.
