PAULIN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend chapter 222 of the laws of 1994, constituting the family protection and domestic violence intervention act of 1994, in relation to the effectiveness thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 59 of chapter 222 of the laws of 2 1994, constituting the family protection and domestic violence inter- 3 vention act of 1994, as amended by section 15 of part A of chapter 55 of 4 the laws of 2023, is amended to read as follows: 5 2. Subdivision 4 of section 140.10 of the criminal procedure law as 6 added by section thirty-two of this act shall take effect January 1, 7 1996 [and shall expire and be deemed repealed on September 1, 2025]. 8 § 2.
