HUNTER, CONRAD -- read once and referred to the Committee on Housing AN ACT directing the commissioner of housing and community renewal to require certain housing quality standards inspections of Section 8 housing The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Within ninety days of the effective date of this act, the 2 commissioner of housing and community renewal shall amend the department 3 of housing and community renewal's Section 8 administrative plan to 4 require a Section 8 local administrator to conduct a housing quality 5 standards inspection of a dwelling unit when a tenant moves out of or 6 vacates such unit. Such inspection shall be in addition to any other 7 required housing quality standards inspections. 8 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
