TANNOUSIS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to rules of evidence The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 190.30 of the criminal procedure law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 9 to read as follows: 3 9. In grand jury proceedings involving sex trafficking offenses as 4 defined by section 230.34 or 230.34-a of the penal law, a written or 5 oral statement made by a police officer may be received as evidence of 6 the facts stated therein. 7 § 2.
