PRETLOW -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Real Property Taxation AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation to excluding environmental contamination from consideration as a factor for assess- ment The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 706 of the real property tax law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows: 3 3. For the purposes of assessment, environmental contamination shall 4 be excluded from consideration. 5 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to real 6 property with a taxable status date on or after such date.
