                            <PRE WIDTH="200"> Assembly Resolution No. 345 <B>BY:</B> M. of A. Palmesano <B>COMMENDING</B> Dr. William P. Mullaney for his leadership and accomplishments as President of SUNY Corning Community College <B>WHEREAS,</B> It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to recognize and acknowledge outstanding individuals within our midst who have made significant contributions to the communities of this State and Nation; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Dr. William P. Mullaney for his leadership and accomplishments as President of SUNY Corning Community College to be celebrated on Thursday, May 1, 2025; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> In the summer of 2019, SUNY Corning Community College (CCC) welcomed Dr. William P. Mullaney as its seventh President; through the years, he has been dedicated to the success of the College, the students, and the faculty; his vision has been instrumental in the betterment of the community and made important contributions to the State of New York; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> Dr. William P. Mullaney has been an integral part of CCC's strategic planning efforts, leading to the creation of the "Path to the Future" initiative which shapes new academic programs and optimizes resource management; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> Dr. William P. Mullaney has revitalized the College's STEAM Innovation Zone by securing funding to upgrade the planetarium into a cutting-edge Digital Dome Theater, launching two new programs--Mechatronics and Digital Design--and successfully completing a campus energy retrofit through a public-private partnership with Siemens, ensuring effective utilization of grant-funded facility enhancements; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> Under the leadership of Dr. William P. Mullaney, there have been significant advancements in health sciences programming, including the initiation of a Central Service Technician Program, collaboration with Guthrie Hospital for a Certified Nurse Aide program, and the expansion of online non-credit offerings such as Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Clinical Assistant, and Pharmacy Technician; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> Several vital programs have been initiated under Dr. William P. Mullaney's guidance, including the Makerspace lab on the Spencer Hill Campus, fostering creativity and teamwork among students, faculty, staff, and community members; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> Focused on increasing enrollment, Dr. William P. Mullaney has overseen the development of a comprehensive enrollment-driven marketing strategy paired with a strategic enrollment management plan; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> During Dr. William P. Mullaney's tenure, SUNY CCC has consistently attained the highest three-year graduation rate among community colleges within the SUNY system, surpassing national averages; this remarkable achievement is a testament to Dr. Mullaney's leadership and vision, highlighting the transformative journey that ensures a brighter future for SUNY CCC's students and the communities which are served; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> The many contributions of Dr. William P. Mullaney are a testament to his legacy which will inspire future students of SUNY Corning Community College; his leadership and unwavering dedication to the faculty and students, as well as his strategic vision, create a legacy that will define the College for years to come; and <B>WHEREAS,</B> It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those dedicated individuals who have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence unquestionably have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it <B>RESOLVED,</B> That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Dr. William P. Mullaney for his leadership and accomplishments as President of SUNY Corning Community College; and be it further <B>RESOLVED,</B> That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Dr. William P. Mullaney.
