No. 44 2025-2026 Representative Lawson-Rowe A R E S O L U T I O N Honoring the Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team as a 2025 OASSA Division 2 State Champion. WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team on securing the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators Division 2 Game Day Building State Championship; and WHEREAS, The Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team is made up of tremendous athletes who have worked diligently to showcase the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s OASSA Division 2 State Tournament, the Indians decisively won the state crown in the game day building category, and the members amply demonstrated impressive determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement; and WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless efforts of an exceptional Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team coaching staff, as well as the support of their Indians community, these athletes have met the demands of an extensive training regimen, and they have just cause for celebration; and WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team have set an excellent example of what a dedicated group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed coaching staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and boosters.
