A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Centerville High School junior varsity
dance team on winning the 2025 OASSA Jazz State
Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Centerville High
School junior varsity dance team as the 2025 Ohio Association of
Secondary School Administrators Jazz State Champion; and
WHEREAS, At this year’s Ohio Association of Secondary School
Administrators State Dance Championships, the members of the
Centerville High School junior varsity dance team rose to the occasion
and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in high school sports. In
addition to winning first place in the jazz category, they secured
third place in the pom and hip hop categories, and truly, these
outstanding athletes can be proud of the accomplishments that were
hard-won and well-deserved; and
WHEREAS, With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who
comprise the Centerville High School junior varsity dance team, for
they have overcome many obstacles and displayed tremendous prowess.
Indeed, we are confident that as they meet the challenges ahead, they
will take with them the lessons of comradery, diligence, and
discipline; and
WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in this exciting activity, the
members of the Centerville High School junior varsity dance team have
gained discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects

of their lives; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,
salute the Centerville High School junior varsity dance team on its
state championship title and honor all those who contributed to the
success of this fine squad; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Centerville High
School junior varsity dance team.
