A   R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Marcus Benjamin for outstanding service to 
the State of Ohio.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Marcus Benjamin 
for his loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and
WHEREAS, Throughout Marcus Benjamin’s distinguished tenure, he has 
demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and 
fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost diligence and 
competence. Starting as a legislative assistant for Senator Thomas 
Patton in 2012, he went on to serve as a policy advisor and senior 
policy advisor before being named a deputy policy director. In his 
work, he has been instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and 
effectiveness of the legislative process and in ensuring that our 
state continues to uphold the ideals that are embodied in our 
constitution and in the laws enacted under it; and
WHEREAS, The expertise and professionalism Marcus Benjamin has 
shown in his endeavors have gained him the admiration and esteem of 
all those with whom he has been associated. As he reflects on his 
service with the Ohio General Assembly staff, he has the satisfaction 
of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the state, and 
his record of achievement will stand as a hallmark for others to 
emulate; and
WHEREAS, Marcus Benjamin’s contributions to the State of Ohio have

been greatly appreciated by everyone who has had the pleasure of 
working with him. He has displayed exceptional devotion, 
responsibility, and enthusiasm over the years, and we offer best 
wishes as he begins a new chapter in his estimable career; therefore 
be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Marcus Benjamin 
for his exemplary public service and applaud him as a fine Ohioan; and 
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Marcus Benjamin.
