A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring The Ohio State University dance team on
winning a 2025 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and
Dance Team National title.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to The Ohio State
University dance team on earning first place in the Division IA jazz
category at the 2025 Universal Cheerleaders Association & Universal
Dance Association College Cheerleading and Dance Team National
Championship; and
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, The
Ohio State University dance team is an impressive group of competitors
whose talents are unmatched. At this year’s UCA & UDA College
Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship, the Buckeyes won
their second consecutive crown in the Division IA jazz category, as
well as earned second-place honors in the pom category, and these
achievements will be celebrated for many years to come; and
WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University dance team rose
to the occasion and proved themselves to be capable of meeting and
overcoming all challenges they faced. Truly, these outstanding
athletes can be proud of their hard-won and well-deserved
accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of The Ohio State University
dance team primed themselves under the guidance of Coach Melissa
McGhee to reach their full potential. Indeed, the Buckeyes have
demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of
their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, heartily recognize The
Ohio State University dance team on its national title and praise the
strength of this squad and its participating athletes; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University
dance team.
