A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Pickerington High School Central girls
basketball team on securing the 2025 Division I
State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly
of Ohio are pleased to salute the Pickerington High School Central
girls basketball team on placing first in the 2025 Division I State
Championship tournament; and
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the
Pickerington High School Central girls basketball team is an
impressive group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched.
At the 2025 Division I State Championship, the Tigers defeated the
team from Princeton High School by a score of 47-44, securing the
title, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Pickerington High School Central girls
basketball team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a
dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes
can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved
throughout the season; and
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Pickerington High
School Central girls basketball team primed themselves under the
guidance of Coach Johnathan Hedgepeth to secure this year’s state
crown and reach their full potential. Indeed, the Tigers have shown
superb skill, enthusiasm, and commitment in all of their endeavors;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the

As Introduced
Pickerington High School Central girls basketball team on its success
and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High School
Central girls basketball team.
