5552 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5653 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 5 9 O.S. 2011, Section 1607, as
5754 last amended by Section 1, Chapter 463, O.S.L. 2019 (59 O.S. Supp.
5855 2020, Section 1607), is amended to read as follows:
5956 Section 1607. A. There is hereby re -created, to continue until
6057 July 1, 2021 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma
6158 Sunset Law, the Board of Examiners for Speech -Language Pathology and
6259 Audiology whose duty it is to administer the provisions of the
6360 Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act. The members
6461 of the Board shall be residen ts of this state and shall be appointed
6562 by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The

93-Board shall be composed of five (5) members consisting of three
9490 licensed speech-language pathologists or audiologists, provided that
9591 at least one of the three shall be a licensed speech -language
9692 pathologist and at least one a licensed audiologist; one
9793 otolaryngologist who is certified by the American Board of
9894 Otolaryngology and one lay member.
9995 B. The members of the original Board shall serve the followin g
10096 terms: one member for one (1) year, two members for two (2) years,
10197 and two members for three (3) years. Thereafter, at the expiration
10298 of the term, or termination of the member 's service for any reason,
10399 the Governor shall appoint each successor for a te rm of three (3)
104100 years, or for the remainder of an unexpired term. The successor for
105101 any of the three speech -language pathologists or audiologists will
106102 be selected from a list of five licensed speech -language
107103 pathologists or audiologists, furnished by the Oklahoma Speech-
108104 Language-Hearing Association. The re -creation of the Board shall
109105 not affect the staggered terms of office for Board members
110106 established with the original Board.
111107 C. Before entering upon the duties of the member 's office, each
112108 member of the Board shall take the Constitutional oath of office and
113109 file it with the Secretary of State.
114110 D. Board members may be reappointed to serve one additional
115111 three-year term. Three (3) years after the termination of a
112+previous appointment to the Board, a memb er may be reappointed for
113+one additional three -year term.

145140 E. Board members shall be reimbursed for travel expenses
