4040 An Act relating to schools; banning curriculum that
4141 promotes or degrades any race, gender or sexual
4242 orientation; creating liability for school or
4343 institution which promotes, requires or allows
4444 certain contents in the curriculum; prohibiting
4545 censorship of certain social media accounts and
4646 personal affairs; defining terms; providing for
4747 codification; and providing an effective date .

5252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5353 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5454 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.901 of Title 70, unless
5555 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5656 A. No public school or state educational institution shall
5757 require or offer a curriculum that promotes or degrades a ny race,
5858 gender or sexual orientation.
5959 B. A public school or state educational institution shall be
6060 liable for compensatory and p unitive damages that occ ur to a student
6161 or employee who is harmed as a result of the public school or state
6262 educational institution promoting, requiring or allowing any
6363 political, social or unorthodox views as part of the curriculum.

9090 C. A public school or state educational insti tution shall be
9191 liable for compensatory and punitive damages that occur as a result
9292 of censoring, monitoring or controlling the social media or personal
9393 affairs of employees, students, or family members of employees or
9494 students.
9595 D. As used in this section :
9696 1. "Public school" shall have the same meaning as provided in
9797 Section 1-106 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and
9898 2. "State educational institution " shall have the same meaning
9999 as provided in Section 3102 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
100100 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
