40	40	An Act relating to schools; banning curriculum that
41	41	promotes or degrades any race, gender or sexual
42	42	orientation; creating liability for school or
43	43	institution which promotes, requires or allows
44	44	certain contents in the curriculum; prohibiting
45	45	censorship of certain social media accounts and
46	46	personal affairs; defining terms; providing for
47	47	codification; and providing an effective date .

52	52	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
53	53	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
54	54	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.901 of Title 70, unless
55	55	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
56	56	A. No public school or state educational institution shall
57	57	require or offer a curriculum that promotes or degrades a ny race,
58	58	gender or sexual orientation.
59	59	B. A public school or state educational institution shall be
60	60	liable for compensatory and p unitive damages that occ ur to a student
61	61	or employee who is harmed as a result of the public school or state
62	62	educational institution promoting, requiring or allowing any
63	63	political, social or unorthodox views as part of the curriculum.

90	90	C. A public school or state educational insti tution shall be
91	91	liable for compensatory and punitive damages that occur as a result
92	92	of censoring, monitoring or controlling the social media or personal
93	93	affairs of employees, students, or family members of employees or
94	94	students.
95	95	D. As used in this section :
96	96	1. "Public school" shall have the same meaning as provided in
97	97	Section 1-106 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and
98	98	2. "State educational institution " shall have the same meaning
99	99	as provided in Section 3102 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
100	100	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
