41	41	legislators to attend racial sensitivity training;

43	43	the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the
44	44	Oklahoma State Senate; prescribing time limits for
45	45	training; prescribing requirements for certain
46	46	nonprofit entity; providing for codification; and

54	54	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	55	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
56	56	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 491 of Title 74, unless there is
57	57	created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
58	58	A. Each member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the
59	59	Oklahoma State Senate shall attend a racial sensitivity training
60	60	program to be offered by a nonprofit organization selected for such
61	61	purpose by mutual agreement of the Oklahoma House of Representatives
62	62	and the Oklahoma State Senate. The training session shall occur not
63	63	later than sixty (60) days after the General Election and not later

90	90	than thirty (30) days after any Special Election to fill a vacancy
91	91	in either chamber.
92	92	B. The training required b y subsection A of this section shall
93	93	be provided by a nonprofit entity, organized either under the laws
94	94	of another state and having an affiliated entity in the state or
95	95	organized under the laws of this state, having an exempt status
96	96	pursuant to Section 501 (c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as
97	97	amended, the principal purpose of which is to provide social
98	98	services and support to women and girls, and which entity is able to
99	99	provide the training without charge to the Oklahoma House of
100	100	Representatives and the Oklahoma State Senate. The entity shall be
101	101	required to have conducted a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of
102	102	similar training sessions for other persons or organizations within
103	103	the three-year period preceding the date as of which the training
104	104	session is conducted for the chambers of the Legislature.
105	105	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
