4940 An Act relating to daylight saving time; establishing

5952 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6053 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section o f law to be codified
6154 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 70 of Title 25, unless there is
6255 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
6356 A. The standard time in Oklahoma shall be known as Central
6457 Standard Time.
6558 B. This section shall not be construe d to affect the standard
6659 time established by United States law governing the movements of
6760 common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or the time for
61+performance of an act by an officer or department of the United
62+States, as established by a statute, la wful order, rule or
63+regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.

95-performance of an act by an officer or department of the United
96-States, as established by a statute, lawful order, rule or
97-regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.
9890 C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966 , as amended,
9991 and notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary by
10092 the United States government relating to adoption of daylight saving
10193 time by all of the states, the State of Oklahoma elects to reject
10294 such time and elects to continue in force the terms of subsection A
10395 of this section relating to standard time in Oklahoma.
10496 D. The rejection of daylight saving time as provid ed for in
10597 this section may be changed by future legislative action.
10698 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
