49	40		An Act relating to daylight saving time; establishing
50	41		standard time in this state; specifying effect on
51	42		certain actions; exempting Oklahoma from the federal
52	43		daylight saving time provision; authorizing future
53	44		action; providing for codification; and providing an
54	45		effective date.

59	52		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
60	53		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section o f law to be codified
61	54		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 70 of Title 25, unless there is
62	55		created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
63	56		A. The standard time in Oklahoma shall be known as Central
64	57		Standard Time.
65	58		B. This section shall not be construe d to affect the standard
66	59		time established by United States law governing the movements of
67	60		common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or the time for
	61	+	performance of an act by an officer or department of the United
	62	+	States, as established by a statute, la wful order, rule or
	63	+	regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.

98	90		C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966 , as amended,
99	91		and notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary by
100	92		the United States government relating to adoption of daylight saving
101	93		time by all of the states, the State of Oklahoma elects to reject
102	94		such time and elects to continue in force the terms of subsection A
103	95		of this section relating to standard time in Oklahoma.
104	96		D. The rejection of daylight saving time as provid ed for in
105	97		this section may be changed by future legislative action.
106	98		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
