5350 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5451 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2011, Section 12 -201, is
5552 amended to read as follows:
5653 Section 12-201. A. The United States Department of
5754 Transportation specifications and standards for headlamps, auxiliary
5855 driving lamps, tail lamps, signal lamps, reflectors, and other
5956 lighting equipment and signal devices, pursuant to 49 C.F .R.,
6057 Section 571.108, are hereby adopted by the State of Oklahoma.
6158 B. Except as otherwise provided in this chapter title and
6259 subject to exceptions for parked vehicles, every vehicle upon a
6360 highway within this state shall properly display all lamps and
6461 illuminating devices as required by law:

9288 1. At any time from one -half (1/2) hour after sunset to one -
9389 half (1/2) hour before sunrise, also referred to in this chapter
9490 title as nighttime; and
9591 2. At any other time when, due to insufficient light or
9692 unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the
9793 highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of one thousand
9894 (1,000) feet or less ; and

101-weather, the vehicle's headlamps shall be on .

10298 C. All lamps required by this chapter title shall display a
10399 steady light except as otherwise prescribed by this chapter title.
104100 Any required individual lamp may be combined or incorporated with
105101 any other required in dividual lamp if the combined or incorporated
106102 lamps meet all of the individual lighting requirements of this
107103 chapter title for each individual lamp contained therein.
108104 D. No lamp, other than a headlamp, displayed on any vehicle
109105 shall project a glaring ligh t; provided, every headlamp shall comply
110106 with Section 12-222 12-203.2 of this title.
111107 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
