60 | 57 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 2011, Section 1 -2721, as |

63 | 60 | | Section 1-2721. A. 1. The Physician Manpower Training |

64 | 61 | | Commission shall administer the Oklahoma Medical Loan Repayment |

66 | 63 | | 2. For the purposes of this section, "primary care physicians " |

67 | 64 | | shall mean physicians practicing in family medicine, geriatrics, |

102 | 98 | | care physicians within the operations of the health center. |

103 | 99 | | 5. The Program, depending upon and limited to available |

104 | 100 | | funding, shall provide educational loan repayment assistance to |

105 | 101 | | Oklahoma licensed primary care physicians and physician assistan ts |

106 | 102 | | who agree to establish a practice in a community located in Oklahoma |
---|
107 | 103 | | approved by the Commission. |

108 | 104 | | 6. Each award shall be for a contracted period and shall be |
---|
109 | 105 | | distributed to the participant by drafts made payable to the |
---|
110 | 106 | | participant at the end of each con tract year with disbursements not |
---|
111 | 107 | | to exceed an amount to be established annually by the Commission. |

112 | 108 | | Prior to any disbursement, the Commission shall certify and properly |

155 | 150 | | 1. Is a physician that holds a curren t Oklahoma medical |
---|
156 | 151 | | license; |

157 | 152 | | 2. Is a new primary care graduate physician or physician |
---|
158 | 153 | | assistant. Preference will be given to graduates of the primary |
---|
159 | 154 | | care residency programs affiliated with the Oklahoma State |
---|
160 | 155 | | University College of Osteopathic Medicine, th e University of |
---|
161 | 156 | | Oklahoma College of Medicine and the teaching hospitals affiliated |
---|
162 | 157 | | with both schools of medicine and teaching health centers located in |
---|
163 | 158 | | this state; or |
---|
164 | 159 | | 3. Is a current practicing physician or physician assistant and |
---|
165 | 160 | | has met criteria establi shed by the Commission. |
---|
166 | 161 | | D. The Commission may accept donations of public or private |
---|
167 | 162 | | funds to assist in funding the Oklahoma Medical Loan Repayment |
---|
168 | 163 | | Program. The Commission may, at its discretion, contract with other |

204 | 198 | | SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2011, Section 697.3, as |
