BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 10100 of Title 74, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. Effective July 1, 2021, all personnel whose employment meets the conditions established in subsection B of this section shall be awarded an annualized salary increase of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00). Described as follows: a. all commissioned law enforcement officers of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Division of the Department of Public Safety who have obtained certification from the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training, and all cadets of a Patrol Academy of the Department of Public Safety, b. law enforcement officers and criminalists of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, c. law enforcement officers of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control designated to perform duties in the investigation and prevention of crime and the enforcement of the criminal laws of this state, d. law enforcement officers of the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission designated to perform duties in the investigation and prevention of crime and the enforcement of the criminal laws of this state, e. employees of the Communications Section of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Division, radio technicians, and tower technicians of the Department of Public Safety , Req. No. 5591 Page 3 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 f. park rangers of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and any park manager or park supervisor of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, and g. inspectors of the Board of Pharmacy; and 2. Having been employed by the employee 's current employing agency on the last working day of June 2020. C. No salary increase pursuant to this section shall be made that exceeds a salary limitation provided in an agency 's annual appropriation bill or salary limits set by statute , provided that salary increases authorized pursuant to this section shall not be limited by the findings of remunerati on studies required by statute . Classified employees eligible for the salary increase provided for in this section shall receive such increase even though it causes the employee's salary to exceed the maximum for the employee 's pay band. D. With respect to any employee who is not a full -time employee, the salary increase amount otherwise authorized by subsection A of this section shall be prorated using a methodology applicable to the employee 's compensation, weeks worked, months worked, hours worked or s imilar method. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021. SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby Req.
