54	54	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	55	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 13A -103, as
56	56	amended by Section 1, Chapter 9, O.S.L. 2018 (26 O.S. Supp. 2020,
57	57	Section 13A-103), is amended to read as follows:
58	58	Section 13A-103. A. 1. The Until the first Tuesday of
59	59	November, 2022, the general election of members of the board of
60	60	education of every school district and technology center school
61	61	district shall be conducted on the firs t Tuesday of April of each
62	62	year. Beginning the first Tuesday of November, 2022 , and on the
63	63	general election date every two (2) years thereafter as defined in
64	64	Section 1-101 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes , the general

91	91	election of members of the board of education of every school
92	92	district and technology center school district shall be conducted .
93	93	Elected members serving a term on November 1, 2022, shall be
94	94	reelected on November 1, 2022. On the first Tuesday of November,
95	95	and every year thereafter, membe rs whose terms expire before the
96	96	next succeeding general election shall be elected.
97	97	2. The primary election of members of the board of education of
98	98	every school district and technology center school district, if
99	99	necessary, shall be conducted on the second Tuesday in February of
100	100	each year, except in any year when a Presidential Preferential
101	101	Primary is held in February, then the election shall be held on the
102	102	same day as the Presidential Preferential Primary.
103	103	3. If only two candidates qualify to have their n ames appear on
104	104	the ballot, the names of both candidates shall appear on the ballot
105	105	at the board of education general election.
106	106	4. If more than two candidates qualify to have their names
107	107	appear on the ballot, the names of all such candidates shall appear
108	108	on the ballot at the board of education primary election. A
109	109	candidate receiving more than fifty percent (50%) of the votes cast
110	110	in the board of education primary election shall be elected to the
111	111	office. If no candidate receives more than fifty percent (50 %) of
112	112	the votes cast in the board of education primary election, then the
113	113	two candidates with the highest number of votes shall appear on the
114	114	ballot at the board of education general election.

141	141	B. Elections on the question of making a levy or levies for
142	142	schools under Section 9, Section 9B or Section 10 of Article X of
143	143	the Oklahoma Constitution shall be held on the second Tuesday in
144	144	February of each year, except in any year when a Presidential
145	145	Preferential Primary is held in February, then the election shall be
146	146	held on the same day as the Presidential Preferential Primary.
147	147	C. The board of education of every school district or
148	148	technology center school district may call a special election for
149	149	the purpose of voting on any matter or question authorized by law.
150	150	SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 1 -101, is
151	151	amended to read as follows:
152	152	Section 1-101. On the first Tuesday succeeding the first Monday
153	153	of November, 1976, and every four (4) years thereafter, a General
154	154	Election shall be held, at which time electors for President and
155	155	Vice President shall be elected. On said date, and every two (2)
156	156	years thereafter, United States Senators and United States
157	157	Representatives, whose terms expire before the next succeeding
158	158	General Election, and state, district and county officers, whose
159	159	terms expire before the next succeeding General Election, shall be
160	160	elected. No county, municipality or school district , except for
161	161	school board member elections as provided in Section 13A -103 of this
162	162	title, shall schedule an election on any date during the twenty (20)
163	163	days immediately preceding the date of any such General Election.
