40	40	An Act relating to schools; requiring educational
41	41	institutions to provide notary for absentee ballots;
42	42	providing for codification; and prov iding an

48	48	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
49	49	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
50	50	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3249 of Title 70, unless there
51	51	is created a duplica tion in numbering, reads as follows:
52	52	All state educational institutions within the Oklahoma State
53	53	System of Higher Education shall make at least one full -time staff
54	54	member available to notarize ballots during designated absentee
55	55	voting periods. The employee must be available during normal
56	56	business hours and their availability to notarize ballots shall be
57	57	widely advertised to the campus community no less than ten (10) days
58	58	before the absentee voting period.
59	59	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
