4040 An Act relating to professions and occupations;
4141 amending 59 O.S. 2011, Section 567.12, as amended by

4444 programs for nurses; modifying locations for approved
4545 training programs; and providing an effective date.

5050 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5151 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2011, Section 567.12, as
5252 amended by Section 3, Chapter 190, O.S.L. 2016 (59 O.S. Supp. 2020,
5353 Section 567.12), is amended to read as follows:
5454 Section 567.12 A. To qualify in this state as an approved
5555 program for registere d nurses, the program shall be conducted in the
5656 State of Oklahoma in an accredited college or university leading to
5757 an associate, baccalaureate, or higher degree in nursing or in a
5858 school or skill center approved by the Oklahoma Department of Career
5959 and Technology Education or licensed by the Oklahoma Board of
6060 Private Vocational Schools . Such programs shall meet the standards
6161 fixed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and prescribed in its rules.

8888 B. To qualify in this state as an approved program for
8989 practical nurses, the program shall be conducted in this state in a
9090 school or skill center approved by the Oklahoma Department of Career
9191 and Technology Education or licensed by the Oklahoma Board of
9292 Private Vocational Schools. Such programs shall meet the standar ds
9393 fixed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as prescribed in its rules,
9494 which shall conform to the provisions of this subsection.
9595 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
