40	40	An Act relating to professions and occupations;
41	41	amending 59 O.S. 2011, Section 567.12, as amended by
42	42	Section 3, Chapter 190, O.S.L. 2016 ( 59 O.S. Supp.

44	44	programs for nurses; modifying locations for approved
45	45	training programs; and providing an effective date.

50	50	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	51	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2011, Section 567.12, as
52	52	amended by Section 3, Chapter 190, O.S.L. 2016 (59 O.S. Supp. 2020,
53	53	Section 567.12), is amended to read as follows:
54	54	Section 567.12 A. To qualify in this state as an approved
55	55	program for registere d nurses, the program shall be conducted in the
56	56	State of Oklahoma in an accredited college or university leading to
57	57	an associate, baccalaureate, or higher degree in nursing or in a
58	58	school or skill center approved by the Oklahoma Department of Career
59	59	and Technology Education or licensed by the Oklahoma Board of
60	60	Private Vocational Schools . Such programs shall meet the standards
61	61	fixed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and prescribed in its rules.

88	88	B. To qualify in this state as an approved program for
89	89	practical nurses, the program shall be conducted in this state in a
90	90	school or skill center approved by the Oklahoma Department of Career
91	91	and Technology Education or licensed by the Oklahoma Board of
92	92	Private Vocational Schools. Such programs shall meet the standar ds
93	93	fixed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as prescribed in its rules,
94	94	which shall conform to the provisions of this subsection.
95	95	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
