40	40	An Act relating to elections; imposing term limits on
41	41	members of the United States House of Representatives
42	42	and the United States Senate; providing for
43	43	limitation applicable to combined years of service in
44	44	either chamber of Congress; providing limitation
45	45	inapplicable to periods of time for vacancy;
46	46	providing for codification; and providing an

52	52	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
53	53	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
54	54	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 17-151 of Title 26, unless there
55	55	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
56	56	A. Effective November 1, 2022, the term of office for each
57	57	member of the United States House of Representatives and the term of
58	58	office for each member of the United States Senate representing the
59	59	State of Oklahoma in the United States Congress shall be limited to
60	60	a total of twelve (12) years.
61	61	B. The limit prescribed by subsection A of this section shall
62	62	be the cumulative total period of service in both the United States
63	63	House of Representatives and the United States Senate.

91	91	any period of time that a person is elected to fill a vacancy in
92	92	either the United States House of Representatives or the United
93	93	States Senate.
