AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to school curriculum; authorizing 
school district board of education to ad opt certain 
curricula for history, social studies, and United 
States Government; exempting certain curricula from 
review and approval by the State Textbook Committee ; 
providing for codification; and providing an 
effective date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 11-103.6b-1 of Title 70, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  A school district board of education may adopt The Hillsdale 
1776 Curriculum or WallBuilders curriculum as instructional 
materials for students in history, social studies , and United States 
Government subject matter standards . 
B.  For purposes of this section, the curricula described in 
subsection A of this section shall be considered supplementary 
textbooks and other instructional materials as defined in Section

16-111.1 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes and shall be exempt 
from review and approval by the State Textbook Committee. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
