40	40	An Act relating to state government; creating the
41	41	Oklahoma Holocaust Commissio n; providing membership;
42	42	designating selection of the chair of the Commission;
43	43	stating quorum of membership and meeting
44	44	requirements; providing for travel reimbursement;
45	45	stating duties and responsib ilities of Commission;

52	52	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
53	53	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
54	54	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 11100 of Title 74, unless there
55	55	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
56	56	A. There is hereby created the Oklahoma Holocaust Commission.
57	57	The Commission shall be composed of nine (9) members:
58	58	1. Three appointed by the Governor ;
59	59	2. Three appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate;
60	60	and
61	61	3. Three appointed by the Speaker of the House of
62	62	Representatives.

89	89	B. The Governor shall appoint the chair of the Commission from
90	90	within the membership of the Commission. Two-thirds of the members
91	91	shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of conducting business.
92	92	The Commission shall meet at lea st quarterly and at such other times
93	93	as may be called by the chair.
94	94	C. Members of the Commission shall receive no compensation for
95	95	serving on the Commission but shall receive travel reimbursement for
96	96	necessary travel expenses incurred in the performance o f their
97	97	duties by their respective agencies in accordance with the State
98	98	Travel Reimbursement Act.
99	99	D. The duties and responsibilities of the Oklahoma Holocaust
100	100	Commission are as follows:
101	101	1. Providing advice and assistance to public and private
102	102	primary schools, secondary schools, and institutions of higher
103	103	education in the state regarding antisemitism and the Holocaust;
104	104	2. Meeting with representatives of public and private
105	105	organizations to provide information on and assist in efforts of the
106	106	organizations to plan, create, and implement antisemitism awareness
107	107	programs and Holocaust recognition programs or events; and
108	108	3. Annually planning and organizing a Holocaust remembrance
109	109	event to educate the public of the Jewish Holocaust.
110	110	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
