4955 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPL E OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5056 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
5157 codified in the Oklahoma Statute s reads as follows:
5258 This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Judge Timothy
5359 R. Henderson Act".
5460 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5561 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 593 of Title 21, unless there is
5662 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5763 A. It shall be unlawful for a judge of any court in this state
5864 to engage in a sexual relationship with a lawyer who is:
59-1. Representing a client in a civil or criminal action or
60-proceeding; or

92+1. Representing a client in a civil or criminal action or

8794 2. Prosecuting a criminal case on behalf of the state or

8996 then pending or about to be brought before the same judge. A judge
9097 who violates the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction,
9198 be guilty of a felony p unishable by imprisonment in the c ustody of
9299 the Department of Corrections for a term of not more than two (2)
93100 years, or a fine of not less than Five Tho usand Dollars ($5,00 0.00)
94101 and not to exceed One Hundred Th ousand Dollars ($100,000.00), or by
95102 both such fine and imprison ment.
96103 B. As used in this section, "sexual relationship" means an
97104 established course of sexua l relations.
98105 SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
