2954 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

31-SECTION 1. From the funds appropriated to the Department of
32-Public Safety in Enrolled Senate Bill No. 1040 of the 2nd Session of
33-the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the Department of Pub lic Safety is
34-hereby authorized to expend Fourteen Million Two Hundred Thirty-one

56+codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
57+From the funds appropriated to the Department of Public Safety
58+in Enrolled Senate Bill No. 1040 of the 2nd Session of the 58th
59+Oklahoma Legislature, the Department of Pub lic Safety is hereby
60+authorized to expend Fourteen Million Two Hundred Thirty-one
3561 Thousand Dollars ($14,231,000.00) to provide a pay increase to
3662 commissioned law enforcement officers of the Oklahoma Highway

61141 SECTION 5. Appropriations made by this act, not including
62142 appropriations made for capital o utlay purposes, may be budgeted fo r
63143 the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023 (hereafter FY-23) or may be
64144 budgeted for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 (hereafter FY-24).
65145 Funds budgeted for FY-23 may be encumbered only through June 30,
66146 2023, and must by exp ended by November 15, 2023. Any funds
67147 remaining after November 15, 2023, and not budgeted for FY-24, shall
68148 lapse to the credit of the proper fund for the then current fiscal
69149 year. Funds budgeted for FY-24 may be encumbered only through June
70150 30, 2024. Any funds remaining after November 15, 2024, shall lapse
71151 to the credit of the proper fund for the then cu rrent fiscal year.
72152 These appropriations may not be budgeted i n both fiscal years
73153 simultaneously. Funds budgeted in FY -23, and not required to pay
74154 obligations for that fisc al year, may be budgeted for FY-24, after
75155 the agency to which the funds have been app ropriated has prepared
76156 and submitted a budget work program r evision removing these funds
77157 from the FY-23 budget work program and after such revision has been
78158 approved by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services.
