5149 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRES ENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE
5250 2ND SESSION OF THE 58TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
5351 SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
5452 their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
5553 the following proposed amendme nt to Section 3 of Article V of the
5654 Constitution of the State of Oklahoma to read as follows:
5755 Section 3. Referendum petitions shall be filed with the
5856 Secretary of State no t more than ninety (90) days after the final
5957 adjournment of the session of the Legis lature which passed the bill
6058 on which the referendum is demanded. The veto power of the Governor
6159 shall not extend to measures voted on by the people. All elections
6260 on measures referred to the people of the state shall be had at the

9289 purpose of making such reference. Any Except as otherwise pro vided,
9390 any measure referred to the people by the an initiative shall take
9491 effect and be in force when it shall have been approved by a fifty-
9592 five-percent majority of the votes cast thereon and not otherwise .
9693 An initiative that only repeals a provision or provisions of the
9794 Constitution or referendum shall take ef fect and be in force when it
9895 shall have been approved by a majority of the votes cast thereon and
9996 not otherwise.
10097 The style of all bills shall be: "Be it Enacted By the People
10198 of the State of Oklaho ma."
10299 Petitions and orders for the initiative and for the r eferendum
103100 shall be filed with the Secretary of State and addressed to the
104101 Governor of the state, who shall submit the same to the people. The
105102 Legislature shall make suitable provisions for carrying into effect
106103 the provisions of this article.
107104 SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the proposed Constitutional
108105 amendment as set forth in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in
