5548 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE ST ATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5649 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 21 O.S. 2021, Section 650.8, is
5750 amended to read as foll ows:
5851 Section 650.8. A. Every person who, without justifiable or
5952 excusable cause, knowingly commits any assault, batter y or assault
6053 and battery upon the person of an employee of a facility ma intained
6154 by the Department of Human Services, a facility mainta ined by a
6255 private contractor pursuant to a contract with the Depar tment of
6356 Human Services, or upon the person of an employee of a facilit y
6457 maintained by the Office of Juvenile Affairs, a facility main tained
6558 by a private contractor pursuant to a contract wit h the Office of
59+Juvenile Affairs primarily for delinquent children, a juvenile
60+detention center, or a juvenile bureau, while the employe e is in the

93-Juvenile Affairs primarily for delinquent children, a juvenile
94-detention center, or a juvenile bureau, while the employe e is in the
9587 performance of his duties, shall , upon conviction, thereof be guilty
9688 of a felony.
9789 B. This section shall not supersede any other act or acts, but
9890 shall be cumulative thereto.
9991 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
