18	48		location for certain conference; updating statutory

27	55		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

29	56		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 19 O.S. 2021, Section 547.1, is
30	57		amended to read as follows:

32	58		Section 547.1. A. Any Oklahoma sheriff, deputy sheriff, or a
33	59		reserve deputy sheriff who is assign ed to perform duties associated
34	60		with the National Sheriff Sheriffs’ Association annual conference
35	61		within Tulsa Oklahoma County during the month of June 2002 2024,
36	62		shall have the same powers and duties as though employed by the
37	63		Tulsa Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Liability for the conduct
38	64		of any sheriff, deputy sheriff, or reserve deputy sheriff, w hile
39	65		performing duties during the National Sheriff Sheriffs’ Association

40	93		annual conference or any activities in conjunction with that
41	94		conference for June 2002 2024, shall remain the responsibility of
42	95		the counties of which they are regularly employed. Salari es,
43	96		insurance, and other benefits shall be provided in the regular
44	97		manner by the county in which the sheriffs, deputy sheriffs , and
45	98		reserve deputy sheriffs are regularly employed.

49	99		B. Any duties assigned to sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and
50	100		reserve deputy sheriffs as a result of this section shall terminate
51	101		on July 1, 2002 2024.

53	102		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
