52 | 78 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 10A O.S. 2011, Section 2 -4-107, as |

55 | 81 | | Section 2-4-107. A. 1. The salary of the juvenile bureau |
---|
56 | 82 | | director and shall be fixed by the board of county commissioners of |
---|
57 | 83 | | the county. Salaries of all other employees of the bureau and any |
---|
58 | 84 | | detention home established pursuant to Section 2-4-108 of this title |
---|
59 | 85 | | shall be fixed by the judge of the Juvenile Division, subject to the |
---|
60 | 86 | | general administrative authority of the county commissioners of the |
---|
61 | 87 | | contracting county. The salary of the direct or shall not exceed |

93 | 143 | | B. The judge of the Juvenile Division, subj ect to the general |

95 | 145 | | contracting county, may fix a limit on the amount of expenses that |

96 | 146 | | may be incurred by the director and assistants to the director, such |
---|
97 | 147 | | limit to be in the judgment of the judge adequate to care for the |

98 | 148 | | expenses necessary to carr ying out the orders of the court in an |
---|
99 | 149 | | efficient and expedient manner. The director and assistants to the |
---|
100 | 150 | | director and other personnel of the court shall keep and mai ntain |
---|
101 | 151 | | their offices at the place where the office of the judge of the |
---|
102 | 152 | | court is kept, unless the judge of the Juvenile Division, subject to |
---|
103 | 153 | | the general administrative authority of the county commissioners of |
---|
104 | 154 | | the contracting county, shall direct otherwise. The offices of the |
---|
105 | 155 | | director and assistants to the director shall contain adequate |
---|
106 | 156 | | equipment, desk space and consultation rooms necessary for |
---|
107 | 157 | | appropriate office procedure. |
---|
108 | 158 | | C. In addition to their salaries, the director and assistants |
---|
109 | 159 | | to the director shall be reimbursed at the same rate as stat e |
---|
110 | 160 | | employees for mileage traveled by them in the inv estigation of court |
---|
111 | 161 | | cases and in supervising probationers. The director and assistants |
---|
112 | 162 | | may also receive reimbursement, at the rate and in the manner |
---|
113 | 163 | | applicable to other county officers, for actual and nec essary |
---|

144 | 218 | | D. In all counties having a juvenile bureau, the budge t of the |
---|
145 | 219 | | juvenile bureau for salaries and expenses of the director, |
---|
146 | 220 | | counselors and other employees shall be established and funded as |
---|
147 | 221 | | follows: |

148 | 222 | | 1. All expenses incurred in complying with the provisions of |
---|
149 | 223 | | this article shall be a county charge or funded by a special sales |
---|
150 | 224 | | tax dedicated to juven ile programs and expenses; |
---|
151 | 225 | | 2. The salaries and oth er compensation of all employees of the |
---|
152 | 226 | | juvenile bureau shall be fixed by the judge within the limit of the |
---|
153 | 227 | | total appropriations therefor; and |
---|
154 | 228 | | 3. It is made the duty of the county excise board to make the |
---|
155 | 229 | | necessary appropriation and levy for the payment o f salaries of the |
---|
156 | 230 | | director and all other employees, together with the expenses of |
---|
157 | 231 | | administering the bureau, consistent with the duty to do likewise |
---|
158 | 232 | | with the budget estimates of other county officers under the board’s |
---|
159 | 233 | | jurisdiction, as required by the Consti tution and laws of this |
---|
160 | 234 | | state. |
---|
161 | 235 | | 4. E. Except in instances where it is entitled to |
---|
162 | 236 | | representation because of insurance coverage, the district attorney |
---|
163 | 237 | | of the county in which the juvenile bureau is located s hall |

197 | 295 | | private counsel for the juvenile bureau and its employees in their |
---|
198 | 296 | | official capacity. |
