7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021 , Section 858-307.2,
7777 is amended to read as follows:
7878 Section 858-307.2. A. Beginning November 1, 2004, as a
7979 condition of renewal or reactivation of the license, each licensee
8080 with the exception of those exempt as set out i n this section shall
8181 submit to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission evidence of completion
8282 of a specified number of hours of continuing education courses
8383 approved by the Commission, within the thirty-six (36) months
8484 immediately preceding the term for which the license is to be
8585 issued. The number of hours, or its equivalent, required for each
8686 licensed term shall be determined by the Commission and promulgated
8787 by rule. Each licensee s hall be required to complete and include as

139139 part of said the continuing education a certain number of required
140140 subjects as prescribed by rule.
141141 B. The continuing education courses required by this section
142142 shall be satisfied by courses approved by the Commissio n and offered
143143 by:
144144 1. The Commission;
145145 2. A technology center school;
146146 3. A college or university;
147147 4. A private school;
148148 5. The Oklahoma Association of Realtors, the National
149149 Association of Realtors, or any affiliate thereof;
150150 6. The Oklahoma Bar Associat ion, American Bar Association, or
151151 any affiliate thereof; or
152152 7. An education provider.
153153 C. The Commission sh all maintain a list of courses which are
154154 approved by the Commission.
155155 D. The Commission shall not issue an active renewal license or
156156 reactivate a license unless the continuing education requirement set
157157 forth in this section is satisfied within the prescrib ed time
158158 period.
159159 E. The provisions of this section do not apply :
160160 1. During the period a license is on inactive status;
161161 2. To a licensee who holds a provisional sales associate

214214 3. To a nonresident licensee li censed in this state if the
215215 licensee maintains a current license in another state or states and
216216 has satisfied the continuing education requirement for license
217217 renewal in that state or states. If the nonresident licensee is
218218 exempt from the continuing educa tion requirements in all states
219219 where the nonresident holds a license, the nonresident licensee
220220 shall successfully complete this state ’s continuing education
221221 requirement for license ren ewal or reactivation ; or
222222 4. To a corporation, association, partnership or branch office;

224224 5. To any members of the United States Congress, members of the
225225 Oklahoma Legislature, and members of the armed forces on full-time
226226 active duty, during their year( s) of service.
227227 SECTION 2. This act shall become effect ive November 1, 2022.
