75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021 , Section 858-307.2,
77	77	is amended to read as follows:
78	78	Section 858-307.2. A. Beginning November 1, 2004, as a
79	79	condition of renewal or reactivation of the license, each licensee
80	80	with the exception of those exempt as set out i n this section shall
81	81	submit to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission evidence of completion
82	82	of a specified number of hours of continuing education courses
83	83	approved by the Commission, within the thirty-six (36) months
84	84	immediately preceding the term for which the license is to be
85	85	issued. The number of hours, or its equivalent, required for each
86	86	licensed term shall be determined by the Commission and promulgated
87	87	by rule. Each licensee s hall be required to complete and include as

140	140	subjects as prescribed by rule.
141	141	B. The continuing education courses required by this section
142	142	shall be satisfied by courses approved by the Commissio n and offered
143	143	by:
144	144	1. The Commission;
145	145	2. A technology center school;
146	146	3. A college or university;
147	147	4. A private school;
148	148	5. The Oklahoma Association of Realtors, the National
149	149	Association of Realtors, or any affiliate thereof;
150	150	6. The Oklahoma Bar Associat ion, American Bar Association, or
151	151	any affiliate thereof; or
152	152	7. An education provider.
153	153	C. The Commission sh all maintain a list of courses which are
154	154	approved by the Commission.
155	155	D. The Commission shall not issue an active renewal license or
156	156	reactivate a license unless the continuing education requirement set
157	157	forth in this section is satisfied within the prescrib ed time
158	158	period.
159	159	E. The provisions of this section do not apply :
160	160	1. During the period a license is on inactive status;
161	161	2. To a licensee who holds a provisional sales associate

214	214	3. To a nonresident licensee li censed in this state if the
215	215	licensee maintains a current license in another state or states and
216	216	has satisfied the continuing education requirement for license
217	217	renewal in that state or states. If the nonresident licensee is
218	218	exempt from the continuing educa tion requirements in all states
219	219	where the nonresident holds a license, the nonresident licensee
220	220	shall successfully complete this state ’s continuing education
221	221	requirement for license ren ewal or reactivation ; or
222	222	4. To a corporation, association, partnership or branch office;
223	223	or
224	224	5. To any members of the United States Congress, members of the
225	225	Oklahoma Legislature, and members of the armed forces on full-time
226	226	active duty, during their year( s) of service.
227	227	SECTION 2. This act shall become effect ive November 1, 2022.
