40	66		59 O.S. 2021, Section 482 , which relates to the State
41	67		Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision; removing
42	68		certain limitation on appointees; and providing an

49	75		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
50	76		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 482, is
51	77		amended to read as follows:
52	78		Section 482. Physician members of the State Board of Medical
53	79		Licensure and Supervision shall be appo inted for terms of seven (7)
54	80		years. The lay members of the Board shall serve terms coterminous
55	81		with that of the Governor and until a qualified s uccessor has been
56	82		duly appointed and shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor. No
57	83		member shall be appointed to serve more than two complete
58	84		consecutive terms. Each physician member shall hold office un til
59	85		the expiration of the term for which appointed or until a qualified
60	86		successor has been duly appointed. An appointment shall be made by
61	87		the Governor within n inety (90) days after the expiration of the

91	141		The appointment of allopathic physicians shall be made from a list
92	142		of three names submitted to the Governor by the Oklahoma State
93	143		Medical Association. The Association may submit names of members or
94	144		nonmembers of the Asso ciation. No member of the Board shall be a
95	145		stockholder in or full -time salaried or full -time geographic member
96	146		of the faculty or board of trustees of any medical school.
97	147		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
