AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to rights and benefits of state
employees; allowing certain employees mi litary leave
for certain illnesses; providing for codification;
and providing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new secti on of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 840-2.20E of Title 74, unless
there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
Any state employee who is a veteran of the United States armed
forces and has a disability recognized by the United States
Department of Veterans Affairs may use military leave for any
illness that occurs due to their service-connected disability.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
