51	44		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
52	45		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 72 O.S. 2021, Section 221, is
53	46		amended to read as follows:
54	47		Section 221. A. There is hereby established at Su lphur,
55	48		Oklahoma, on the site of the former Oklahoma State Veterans
56	49		Hospital, and the Oklahoma State Veterans Home of Sulphur. The
57	50		Oklahoma Veterans Commission is authorized to renovate and repurpose
58	51		the State Veterans Home of Sulphur to specialize in serv ices
59	52		supporting the long-term care needs of veterans who r equire both
60	53		nursing home care and specialized cognitive care. The Oklahoma
61	54		Department of Veterans Affairs is authorized to ob tain such
62	55		licensure, certification, accred itation, partnerships, contract
63	56		services, infrastructure, or staffing as is beneficial or necessary
	57	+	to provide advanced services to veterans requiring specialized
	58	+	cognitive care.

93	85		B. There is hereby established at Ardmore, Oklahoma, an
94	86		Oklahoma State Veterans Home in accordance with Section 229 .1 of
95	87		this title, on the site of the Oklahoma State Vet erans Home
96	88		Facilities, and at Norman, Oklahoma, on the site of the Veterans
97	89		Ward of the Griffin Memorial Hospital, further described as follows :
98	90		Starting at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarte r (NE
99	91		1/4) of Section twenty-nine (29), Township nine ( 9) North, Range two
100	92		(2) West, of the Indian Meridian; thence North seventeen hundred
101	93		(1700) feet to a point on the East boundary of Section twenty -nine
102	94		(29), Township nine (9) North, Range two (2) West ; thence West six
103	95		hundred (600) feet; thence South eigh t hundred fifty (850) feet;
104	96		thence West three hundred twenty-five (325) feet; thence South four
105	97		hundred (400) feet; thence in a Southwest direction five hundred
106	98		forty (540) feet to a point on the South boundary of the Northeast
107	99		Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section twenty-nine (29), Township nine (9)
108	100		North, Range two (2) West of the Indian Meridian; thence East a
109	101		distance of one thousand two hundred twenty -three (1,223) feet to
110	102		the point of beginning;
111	103		facilities to be known as the Oklahoma Veterans Centers (for the
112	104		purpose of securing special treatment or hospitalizati on the
113	105		adjoining facilities of Griffin Memorial Hospital shall be
114	106		considered an integral part of the Oklahoma Veterans Centers at
	107	+	Norman, and may be utilized to care for eligible veterans), which
	108	+	shall be available for care of war veterans discharged other than

145	136		the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) and the West Half (W 1/2) of the
146	137		Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 28, Township 9 North, Range 2
147	138		West, Indian Meridian, Cleveland Coun ty, such tract containing 160
148	139		acres, more or less.
149	140		C. Further provided such centers The Oklahoma State Veterans
150	141		Homes established in this section shall be under the administration
151	142		and control of the Oklahoma Veterans Commissi on. No person
152	143		discharged from military servi ce under dishonorable conditions shall
153	144		be admitted to an Oklahoma State Veteran s Home established in this
154	145		section.
155	146		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
