6565 An Act relating to sheriffs; allowing counties to

7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 530 of Title 19, unless there is
7878 created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
7979 A. A county may designate one or more hospitals within the
8080 county to determine whether or not it is medically advisable for an
8181 arrestee to be housed in the county jail.
8282 B. If such a designated hospital deems it medically inadvisable
8383 for an arrestee to be housed in the county jail, then the county
8484 shall not be required to house such arreste e.
8585 C. Nothing in this section shall preclude a county from
8686 agreeing to house an arrestee in the county jail or in another
