301 | 301 | | development requirements prescribed by the Oklahoma Teacher |

302 | 302 | | Preparation Act or by the State Board of Education. |
---|
303 | 303 | | F. 1. The Board shall issue a certificate to teach to a person |
---|
304 | 304 | | who holds a valid out -of-country certificate and meets any |
---|
305 | 305 | | requirements established by the Board. The certificate to teach |
---|
306 | 306 | | shall only be for those subject areas and grade levels most closely |
---|
307 | 307 | | aligned to the subject areas and grade levels recognized on the out- |
---|
308 | 308 | | of-country certificate. |
---|
309 | 309 | | 2. A person who meets the requirements of paragraph 1 of this |
---|
310 | 310 | | subsection shall not be required to take any competency examinat ions |
---|
311 | 311 | | in those subject areas and grade levels most closely aligned to the |
---|
312 | 312 | | subject areas and grade levels recognized on the out -of-country |

379 | 379 | | G. 1. The Board shall i ssue a certificate to teach to a person |

978 | 978 | | certificate described in this section shall make application for the |

979 | 979 | | following school year with the State Board of Education. The |
---|
980 | 980 | | application shall include a reco mmendation from the local board of |
---|
981 | 981 | | education and determination that the applicant has met the statutory |
---|
982 | 982 | | criteria. In reviewing an application, the local school board of |
---|
983 | 983 | | education and the superintendent shall consider the ability of the |
---|
984 | 984 | | school district to fulfill the additional requirements described in |
---|
985 | 985 | | subsections I and J of this section before making a recommendation |
---|
986 | 986 | | to the State Board of Education. |
---|
987 | 987 | | 2. The State Department of Education shall develop an |
---|
988 | 988 | | application to implement the provisions of this subs ection and make |
---|
989 | 989 | | it available to school districts. |

1121 | 1121 | | Empowerment Revolving Fund”. The fund shall be a continuing fund, |

1122 | 1122 | | not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall consist of all |

1124 | 1124 | | appropriations from the General Revenue Fund and the Oklahoma |
---|
1125 | 1125 | | Education Lottery Trust Fund . All monies accruing to the credit of |

1126 | 1126 | | the fund are hereby appropriated and may be budgeted and expended by |

1127 | 1127 | | the State Department of Education for the purpose of providing |
---|
1128 | 1128 | | matching salary supplement funds pursuant to t he provisions of |
---|
1129 | 1129 | | subsection O of Section 6-190 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes . |

1130 | 1130 | | Expenditures from the fund shall be made upon warrants issued by the |

1131 | 1131 | | State Treasurer against claims filed as prescribed by law with the |

1132 | 1132 | | Director of the Office of Manageme nt and Enterprise Services for |

1134 | 1134 | | SECTION 3. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022. |
