3940 2021, Section 858-622, which relates to definitions;
4041 expanding definition; allowing for pricing options

4849 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4950 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 858 -622, is
5051 amended to read as follows:
5152 Section 858-622. As used in the Home Inspection Licensing Act:
5253 1. "Board" means the Construction Industries Board;
5354 2. "Committee" means the Committee of Home Inspector E xaminers;
5455 3. "Home inspection" means a visual examination of any or all
5556 of the readily accessible phys ical real property and improvements to
5657 real property consisting of four or fewer dwelling units , including
5758 structural, lot drainage, roof, electrical, pl umbing, heating and
5859 air conditioning and such other areas of concern as ar e specified in
5960 writing to determine if performance is as intended;
6061 4. "Home inspection report" means a written opinion of the
6162 functional and physical condition of property written by the

8890 licensed home inspector pursuant to home inspection . The inspection
8991 report may include a cost estimate, or a range of estimated costs,
9092 to correct any defect. Additional inspection services provided
9193 beyond or outside the scope of the standards of practi ce, as
9294 established by the Constructions Industries Board , shall be a
9395 contractual matter between the parties. Additional services may
9496 include a determination of the cost or a range of estimated cost s to
9597 correct any defect; and
9698 5. "Home inspector" means an individual licensed pursuant to
9799 the Home Inspection Licens ing Act who, for compe nsation, conducts
98100 home inspections.
99101 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the pr eservation
100102 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
101103 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
102104 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
